ABOUT THE PROJECT

At OUTHOUSE design we think that all teenagers need a place to take time out, hang and call their own. So, when we were approached to re-ignite this outdoor space with that in mind we jumped at the chance.

The design brief from our young clients was simple, it needs to be relaxed, flexible, private, and used all year round.  By installing a mix of fabricated planters, bespoke boundary screening to create privacy whilst also framing the positive view this unused space will provide flexibility throughout the day, but with the addition of low-level lighting, fridge/storage prep area and overhead heater and fan, it would transform into an evening space to chill and relax.

So creating a suitable bespoke design for this critical space doesn’t just provide a solid return on investment, but more importantly provide a year-round offering for our young clients to appreciate as their own.
