This amazing rooftop garden space was hot, exposed and never used. So the focus was to create a destination point that offers a place of shelter to dine and entertain or just sit and take in city views with a glass of bubbles and watch the sun go down. It’s modern, clean and crisp with a visual sense of unity with the rest of the apartment. The materials used are lightweight, allowing for site weight restrictions, constructed off site and installed in a matter of days.
The overhead structure includes a Vergola allowing for sunshine when warm and protection when overcast. The materiality and patterning of the overhead structure seamlessly connects with the larger garden beds. These garden beds wrap around and connect with the additional seating area. Most importantly, this design allows the home owner to enjoy the entire rooftop garden all year round.
