ABOUT THE PROJECT

This might be the tiniest courtyard we have ever designed at just 25m2 and locked by houses on all sides we had to find a way to make this space feel as though you are not in the middle of the inner-west but in your own secluded garden! This traditional house has been renovated with such care and pride by the home owners, OUTHOUSE design was engaged to create a simple but stylish space that would complement the home.

The key feature of this design is our beautiful seat, located on an angle in the garden we were able to get planting behind the seat for that additional privacy and snug feeling while also giving our client something nice to look at on the other end of the space with a water feature and feature tree. A stunning feature gate at the end of the garden provides a feeling of security while also keeping you zoned into the space and not thinking about what is beyond the garden walls.
