ABOUT THE PROJECT

This inner west garden located minutes away from the trendy heart of Balmain draws your attention as soon as you walk in the front door, the landscape structures and planting act as a real destination point for the complete family to venture outside. Measuring just 4 x 5 this small courtyard garden has so much to offer and by laying out the garden on an angle it feels twice as big as the original standard layout that we find all too often.

By stretching the garden, we can create depth into the garden beds for year-round layered planting, providing both seasonal change as well as vital privacy. The overhead structure offers protection in summer, a place to gather with friends and family as well as concealed built in storage. This small courtyard garden is functional, easy to maintain and an extension of the rear living area.

More importantly it provides a place to entertain, exploration for the younger member of the family and a place for summer shade for our luved four-legged friends.
