HEALTH PRECINCT COMMONS
Sydney | Community Space, Commercial
ABOUT THE PROJECT – IN PROGRESS
OUTOHUSE design is very honored to be selected by a prestigious Australian university to create a dynamic and sustainable activation space within its Health Precinct. Our design responds to the campus’ long-term retail and recreational strategy by transforming a shipping container into a versatile, undercover catering hub.
Equipped with all-access BBQ stations, dining area, vending machines, coffee cart and ample seating, this innovative space provides a central gathering point for students and staff. By upcycling a shipping container and implementing a sustainable design approach, our team has delivered a functional and visually appealing space that enhances the overall campus experience!
To overcome the site’s sloping terrain and underground service constraints, we developed a creative solution incorporating modular mesh platforms, timber decks, planter pods and terraced seating. This approach not only optimizes the site’s potential but also minimizes environmental impact and simplifies installation and maintenance.
