This boutique hotel is located within one of the most sought after locations in Sydney’s inner-west. Following an extensive internal makeover, the remaining shaded inner courtyard needed to be transformed. The result was an inviting and vibrant hub in which guests could relax. More so, the courtyard acts as an extension to the rooms, in which meetings and social activities could be held. The courtyard needed to be enjoyed by all guests’ rooms on multiple floors. For this it had to be striking, grabbing your attention the moment it came into view.
By day, the courtyard offers a calm and relaxing getaway from the harsh summer sun. This is achieved by oversized, concrete lounge style seating and mass structural planting. In contrast, the courtyard lights up in the evening. Offering a blaze of orange created by the oversized vertical planters. Extensive lighting and complimenting fabrics and materials creating an exciting edgy urban feel which reflect the hotels location and vision. This truly Is a courtyard experience to be remembered.
“After several discussions with the Outhouse team, the final proposal was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectation. They often popped around during the construction and checked everything was on the right track. We are very happy with the final product as well as their hard work.”
