Hurstville Grove has a historical connection with woodland and tree groves, and we took this as our inspiration to design this space packed with lots of fun discoveries and adventure for the children, including sensory trails, multi-level challenges, a tree tower with rope bridge and an inclusive fairy circus climbing structure, the first of its kind in NSW!

The official opening took place and was celebrated with dance and song by the students before the official cutting of the ribbon by the school principal. She was joined by local educational and community leaders. It was a privilege to have Uncle Dean’s performance of a traditional smoking ceremony to officially open the yarning circle and remind everyone of the importance of culture, nature, how we are all connected to the land and how our actions will influence the future generations to come.

‘’I feel so lucky to experience the endless smiles, fun, engagement, and opportunities that our new playground will create in the days, months and years to come’’.
– School Principal

To have the P&C say that they have the best playground confirms that what we do really is making a difference in our community. It demonstrates that play can be for all ages, all abilities, and all to celebrate, as Katrine our senior playground designer always believes!
