ROOFTOP GARDEN WITH A DIFFERENCE

ABOUT THE PROJECT

This amazing penthouse garden space was hot, exposed and never used. So the focus was to create a destination point that offers a place of shelter to dine and entertain or just sit and take in city views with a glass of bubbles and watch the sun go down. It’s modern, clean and crisp with a visual sense of unity with the rest of the apartment. The materials used are lightweight, allowing for site weight restrictions, constructed off site and installed in a matter of days.

The overhead structure has a Vergola insert to maximise the sun on those Sydney blue sky days, whilst having the ability to close in seconds and offer protection from wind and rain.  The materials and pattern within the overhead structure seamlessly connect with the larger garden beds, wrapping around and connecting with the additional seating zone.  All in all, this design allows the home owner to enjoy the complete penthouse garden all year round.
