Project Description

Crystalline Courtyard

Knight Street, Erskineville | Residential

ABOUT THE PROJECT – IN PROGRESS

Our design team loves working with clients that push boundaries, so when we received the brief and was asked to play with the idea of tanzanite crystals and contrasting relationships we jumped at the chance. This design represents the push and pull, the contrast of heights and angles that interplay with tanzanite.

It sits well in this tiny courtyard and the funky vibe of inner city Erskineville. The variety of heights and raised planters allow us to create a strong contrast with planting combinations and broad foliage textures. The planters form structural supports for the floating seating structure and the large format paving visually stretches the garden, making it feel so much bigger.

Each garden bed is clad and then painted with a contrast colour, creating the sense and feel of the reflective tanzanite. All in all, this is going to be a cracker of a space that reflects the personality and creative side of its owners.
