Project Description

Henry Street, Five Dock | Residential

This family had a passion for growing their own produce and connecting with nature, as well as having fun in the garden. The existing garden had good bones, but needed an injection of energy and a structured layout.

View of the circular feature lawn that acts as the green hub of the garden

The proposed circular feature lawn draws you into the space and act as the green hub of the garden, ensuring the family has plenty of room for ball games and family activity. Each key activity or destination point radiates from the centre, making connection as easy as possible.

View to the hero of the garden with pizza oven fireplace, lounge zone under a recycled timber pergola

A feature pergola using recycled timber and bricks is the ideal location for those year-round BBQs, scented climbing roses create much-needed summer shade and flexible seating caters for all.

View to a tranquil seating nook within the garden for some quiet time out

Raised production beds anchor the connecting arbours, which are drenched in a seasonal climber. A mix of native shrubs, groundcovers and grasses create a year-round display. And who doesn’t love an in-ground trampoline?

At the front is a layered heritage garden that draws you up to the front door, with a combination of scented Port Wine Magnolia, traditional Hydrangea and a splash of colour from Salvia and Limonium.
