Johnston Lane, Annandale
The new owner of this property had transformed the inside, but wasn't sure how to tackle the garden. The request was for a relaxing & welcoming space in the day & an entertainer's 'wow factor' by night. The key was to keep it simple & work with the existing structures. The old water feature had to be removed & a new water feature installed. The walls were given a smooth render finish & timber screens & seating installed. A simple planting plan compliments & highlights the statement columns. Each column was painted with 'Porters' rust paint, & when uplit create interesting evening shadows. A key planting feature is the dwarf magnolias; the rust under leaf compliments the columns.
